Midwest Bio-Systems adds TE500 Tea Extractor to Aeromaster equipment lineup

March 27, 2007—Tampico, IL

Midwest Bio-Systems recently added the TE500 Tea Extractor to their line of Aeromaster equipment. This innovative Tea Extractor brings two major improvements to the market- first, the useful life of the output tea is up to 3 months longer than traditional compost teas. Second, the TE500’s 1500 gph capacity far outstrips other Tea Brewers. Like other compost tea brewers, the TE500 extracts soluble minerals, humus, and microbes from high quality compost allowing for an easy liquid delivery of probiotic soil microbes and nutrients to crops.

Starting with 500 gallons of water and a small amount of high quality compost the Aeromaster TE500 can extract as much as 1500 gallons of compost tea per hour, a great improvement over the 500 gallons per 24 hours of many traditional compost tea brewers.

No microbe activators are added in the extraction process of the tea when using the TE500 giving the tea a useful life of 2 to 3 months, which is much longer than traditional compost teas. A small amount of Aeromaster Tea Activator is added just prior to the application of the compost tea produced by the TE500 to activate the soil microbes.

The delay in microbe activation preserves the microbial diversity of compost by stimulating microbial growth only when the compost tea is applied to the soil rather than pre-stimulating microbial growth during either the extraction or brewing process as most traditional tea brewers do. Stimulating microbial growth during brewing is a process that can allow some microbes to grow more quickly than others making for an imbalanced tea. The TE500 solves this problem with its thorough extraction process and delayed activator system.

In both production capacity and biological output the TE500 is a significant improvement over traditional compost tea brewers. The TE500 is an economical tool for farmers who want to improve the soil biology supporting their crops without a great deal of time spent on compost tea brewing.
