Bio-Systems introduces PT-170 fourteen foot compost turner Midwest Bio-Systems recently introduced the PT-170 fourteen foot compost turner this month. The PT-170 is a specialized tool for creating high quality compost in large operations. The PT-170, a pull-type compost turner, has an integrated water system that allows for the efficient delivery of water to every particle in the compost pile. The system’s drum, tine, and drive are carefully designed to gently toss compost rather than pulverize it as many compost turners do. The resulting compost is finely textured, humified compost that is in high demand by gardeners, landscapers, golf course managers, and farmers. The PT-170 is designed for maximum efficiency and rugged durability. This turner has a greater width than most similar turners which gives the PT-170 up to forty per cent greater space efficiency than its competitors.
