Windrow turners and moisture management systems from Midwest Bio-Systems create high-quality humified compost |

Remove carbon dioxide and and replace with oxygen — the breakdown of organic matter and subsequent build-up of humus is a microbial process that uses oxygen and generates carbon dioxide. Continued replacement of the oxygen allows this to continue effectively. The advanced drum and tine design of the Aeromaster compost turners consistently replaces almost all of the built-up carbon dioxide with fresh oxygen. Manage
Temperature — considerable heat is generated during
the composting process, especially during the breakdown phase. The temperature
of the windrow should be maintained at a proper level to allow the right
microbes to survive and thrive while eliminating harmful bacteria. Aeromaster
compost turners, working within our Advanced Composting system, remove
excess heat and allow the windrows to continue the breakdown of organic
matter into compost. Mix
Without Pulverizing —- composting is the management
of a microbial process. In addition to managing carbon dioxide, temperature,
and moisture, the turning process must mix the material exposing particle
surfaces to moisture and microbes without turning the material to dust.
Aeromaster compost turners thoroughly mix windrow materials without pulverizing
the humus crumb structure that develops during the build-up phase of the
composting process.
